Songs from the Last Page is a unique song-writing and live performance project created by Gareth Williams for Chamber Music Scotland.
Originating through support from EventScotland and Bòrd na Gàidhlig as a part of Scotland's vibrant Year of Stories, the collection was developed through a practice of turning to the final page of a book/story/novel and using only the words of the final lines found there to create lyrics - refrains, choruses, verses etc...
The project continues to grow as a collection of original literary chamber-pop songs that transform and reflect not just on the stories found on the pages of these wonderful books, but also as a way of exploring notions of elegy and endings...
